Our International Historic T45 roll cage is engineered to provide maximum driver protection and chassis rigidity, fully certificated to FIA Appendix K standards.

Manufactured from BS4 T45 Carbon-Manganese Steel. T45 possesses a significantly higher tensile strength than standard CDS, allowing for thinner-walled tubing.The DB4's Superleggera-style construction benefits immensely from a weld-in T45 structure. This cage acts as a structural backbone, reducing the body flex that occurs during high-load cornering on period-correct racing tires.

This kit is specifically designed and FIA Certificated to meet Appendix K regulations. It ensures your vehicle is eligible for the world’s most prestigious historic grids, from the Tour Auto to the Le Mans Classic. 

Developed using 3D scanning technology, CNC Mandrel bent and laser profiled for the perfect fit.

When it comes to historic racing, the design of safety equipment like roll cages is crucial for both safety and authenticity. FIA Appendix K sets strict guidelines that allow historic cars to maintain their original appearance and geometry, while ensuring that safety standards meet the necessary requirements.

The simplicity of historic cages compared to modern ones can be attributed to the fact that materials and engineering standards were different back in the day. The emphasis was more on protecting the driver from certain types of crashes rather than achieving the multipoint designs of today’s standards.

In historic motorsport, the goal is often to balance modern safety standards while still maintaining historical accuracy. Modern cages are more robust, but they don’t necessarily replicate the way cars were originally reinforced, which can affect the authenticity of the driving experience.
