xStepping onto the 116 Trophy grid requires a car that is safe, compliant, and structurally sound. Our 6-Point Bolt-In CDS roll cage is the industry standard for this popular endurance series. Designed specifically for the BMW 1-Series (E87) 5-door, this cage provides the mandatory protection required for door-to-door racing while acting as a rigid structural brace for the chassis.
Built from high-tensile CDS is chosen for the 116 Trophy for its immense energy absorption, making it the ideal material for the rigors of multi-car endurance racing.
Engineered to maximize cabin volume and driver ergonomics. The main hoop and lateral bars are profiled to sit flush against the B-pillars, ensuring clear sightlines and ample room for the mandatory racing seats and harnesses. All tubes are CNC Mandrel bent and laser-profiled for a perfect fit.
While all kits are supplied in a bare metal finish as standard, we offer a bespoke powder coating service. Custom coating starts from £150 +VAT, with final pricing tailored to your chosen finish. To ensure a perfect match, please provide your required RAL code in the order notes; our team will confirm the final specification and any applicable surcharges before processing.

Key Features of the Bolt-in Roll Cage Kit:
- Quick Installation:
- These kits offer a convenient way to install a roll cage in a car, especially compared to weld-in kits.
- Installation is simplified as it mostly requires bolting, with welding needed only for the footplates.
- Strength and Lightness:
- Using our FIA Certified Lap-Joints: These lap joints are a key feature, offering stronger and lighter performance compared to traditional fixings. Their design also makes them nearly invisible once the cage is painted.
- Footplate Design:
- Traditional footplate boxes are not used due to their unacceptability in international events, replaced with underfloor doubler plates, which are more robust and secure.
- OEM Mounting Points:
- Some of our bolt-in designs utilise OEM mounting points in the body shell. This method is not suitable for MSUK or FIA-sanctioned events — please contact the technical sales team for further details.
- Fixing Points:
- Depending on the car’s category and model, there are up to 14 fixing points.
- High-Quality Fasteners:
- The kit uses high tensile 12.9 grade fixings, which are strong, durable, and included with the kit.
- Coating Options:
- The kit can be supplied either with a powder-coated finish for extra durability and aesthetics, or in plain steel, which can be customized by the installer.
Roll Cage Certification
xA roll cage design must comply with the MSA/FIA technical regulations published in the MS UK Blue book. It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure his/her roll cage complies with the technical regulations appropriate to the event they are competing in.
